EZBON are comprised of two different melting temperature polymers in a coaxial, or core-sheath, configuration. The sheath polymer melts at about 100° C less than the core polymer, allowing the tensile properties of the core to remain intact. Thermal bonding is achieved from about 160 through 190° C.
EZBON can be heat activated to...
bond fibers together
seal yarn or fabric interstices
bond materials together
laminate film to fabric
improve fabric ravel and fray resistances
improve sewn seam performance
prevent yarn slippage
seal knots
weld splices
mold fabrics
pleated fabrics
